Tim Messett is president and owner of Pension Investors Corporation of Orlando, Inc., and has more than 30 years of experience working with business owners in the design and implementation of qualified plans; including 401(k), Defined Benefit, Cross-tested Profit Sharing Plans and ESOPS.  He also provides clients with a variety of employee incentive programs designed to attract and retain key employees.

After attending Ohio State University, Tim served as a Warrant Officer in the US Army’s 162nd AHC where he flew Combat Assault helicopters during his tour in Vietnam.  Upon his return to the states, he served as a helicopter flight instructor at Ft. Rucker for the remainder of his tour of duty.  Early in his business career, Tim served as Executive Vice President for a life insurance company headquartered in the Midwest, and was responsible for establishing their sales operation in the State of Florida.

Tim is the past President and co-founder of the Employee Benefits Council of Central Florida; a member of the Central Florida Estate Planning Council (CFEPC); Forum 400; a lifetime qualifying member of MDRT; and co-founder and Board Member of the National Partners Group, Inc., an insurance producer group.  He holds NASD Series 7 license, as well as Life, Health, Variable Annuity and Real Estate licenses, and is a Registered Investment Advisor.

Tim joined Pension Investors Corporation of Orlando, Inc., in 1994.  In additional to traditional employee benefit programs, he expanded his level of service to his clients in the area of combo plans, Cross-tested and Dual Tested Defined Benefit plans.  He also has expertise working with business owners to structure Buy/Sell business arrangements with the proper legal counsel, along with their personal, financial, estate, business succession and asset protection planning.

Tim is the current president of the Central Florida chapter of the American Society of Pension Professional and Actuaries (ASPPA), current member board member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and past board member of the Central Florida Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).

Tim is a graduate of the University of Central Florida.

Nancy CarpenterNancy Carpenter – Executive Assistant to

Nancy joined PICO in 2006.  She is the Executive Assistant to Tim Messett and Tim Caldwell.  Nancy is responsible for scheduling client meetings, making travel arrangements, overseeing implementation and maintenance of website, maintenance of paperless documentation system, maintenance of client database, and coordination our yearly Continuing Education Seminar.   Nancy has 20 years of experience working in the financial services industry previously working for 2 major, national brokerage firms.

Nancy attended Florida International University and obtained her Associates of Arts degree from Miami-Dade Community College.

Kelley KonzcalKelley Konzcal – Trust Department

Kelley has been with PICO since 2001.  She works in our Trust Accounting Department.  She is responsible for reconciling the yearly brokerage statements and preparing financial statements for each client. She also organizes and prepares the year end Form 1099-R project.  Prior to working with PICO, Kelley worked in the mortgage industry for 13 years.

Kelly obtained her Associates of Arts degree from Valencia Community College.

Nancy Ann LesterNancy Ann Lester – Administrative Assistant Receptionist

Nancy Ann has been with PICO since 2008.  As an Administrative Assistant and Receptionist, she is mainly responsible for preparing end of year administrative client packages, greeting clients, scanning all documents in paperless system, and ordering office supplies.

Nancy Ann attended Ohio State University.

Kay StevensKay Stevens – Officer

Kay joined PICO in 1993.   She has more than 30 years of experience in the pension administration industry as an administrator and office manager.  Her responsibilities include management of retirement plan administration, corporate accounting, personnel and day-to-day operations at PICO.  She currently serves as Office Administrator and Corporate Secretary.

Kay is a graduate of the University of Miami.

Erna ThigpinErna Thigpin – Insurance Administrator

Erna joined PICO in 1999.  As the Insurance Administrator, she is responsible for support with all life insurance illustrations, underwriting applications, policy service and reviews.   She has over 25 years of experience working with some of the most respected carriers in the life insurance industry.  Her professional management designation was earned by passing 10 national examinations on life and health insurance subjects including insurance, finance, marketing, law, information systems, accounting and management.  She earned her designation as Fellow, Life Management Institute in 1989.

Rose WhiddenRose Whidden – Assistant Administrator

Rose has been with PICO since 2006.  She is an Assistant Administrator, providing administrative support to our plan administrators.  Prior to joining us, Rose worked for both small and large corporations in the legal, marketing/public relations and employee benefits fields.  She has over 15 years of experience in the employee benefits field.
